Welcome to Education911.info
Our education system in America has changed a great deal over the past fifty years. At this time, parents need to pay close attention to what their children are being taught in the classroom. As a teacher for thirty + years, I am concerned that the students are missing out on the education that they deserve.
This website will give parents and new teachers insight into how we can make things better for our young students and how new teachers can learn strategies to improve their instruction and maintain a positive learning environment. Some of what we will provide on this site is from experience and some will come from current research, best practices, and comments from you that will benefit everyone seeking to improve our education system.
I am Dr. Ed Riepl, a veteran teacher and advocate for the child centered classroom. My years of experience in the classroom was at both the elementary and middle school level students. After retirement, I began teaching at the university level teaching teachers how to teach. I served as a leader of a cohort of dual credentialed student teachers at the University of Hawaii/Kauai Campus. This group of students received their classes on the Kauai Campus with UH professors traveling to Kauai for the classes they taught. I also taught classes and led the cohort through to graduation. I also taught student teachers at California State University San Bernardino and National University in California. I served as a Field Supervisor to these student teachers as they completed their student teaching requirements.
You are invited to email me at education911.info@gmail.com to give me your experiences, concerns, and questions. We will work together to provide the information needed to help our students improve their learning experience. Let me know if you are a Home School teacher/parent or is your student in a public school.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Dr. Ed Riepl
